Our hens are rotationally-grazed on pasture, and fed non-GMO certified organic feed. We purchase young birds from small-scale farmers whose beaks are not clipped, but left fully in-tact to allow birds to forage. Pasture-based egg production allows our hens ample exercise, encourages birds to forage and scratch for bugs and grubs to supplement their feed, and gives our hens the space to display their authentic chickenness. From a human-health perspective, eggs from pastured hens have been shown to be 2-3 times higher in Vitamin E and Omega-3s.* From a human-satisfaction perspective, pastured eggs are delicious: striking in color and flavor, with bright yellow and orange yolks, the taste and freshness is incomparable with any egg you can find in a store.
