2018 Share Details: We do not yet have details on signing-up for 2018. Thanks for your interest & stay tuned!
Our share includes a generous helping of fresh and sustainably-grown produce, pick-your-own flowers, strawberries, herbs, peas, and beans, and the opportunity to engage with your community while supporting local, small-scale, draft-powered agriculture.
Share Size: Our share is sized to provide vegetables for a household of 4 with diverse diets, or 2 adults with a primarily plant based diet. If our share size is too large for you or your family, we offer a half- share option where members pick-up every-other week. Because our produce is picked fresh the morning of your pick-up, members have found that our produce will keep fresh longer in your home fridge.
Share Price: We offer a Sliding Scale Price System, which means we invite you to pay for your share according to your financial abilities, ranging from $700-850 for our 24-week share of local produce grown above-and-beyond organic standards. Our half-share ranges from $375-450 for 12-weeks of produce.
Within a sliding scale system, we budget for folks to pay an average of $775 for a share or $415 for a half-share. Our commitment to sliding scale stems from our valuing Food Justice, the idea that everyone deserves local and nutrient-rich produce regardless of economic limitations. Sliding Scale allows you to pay what you are able—paying more allows us to keep shares affordable for others, while ensuring farmers a livable income.
If our sliding scale "minimum" is truly out of your budget, or if you need a flexible payment plan, please let us know and we will do our best to work with you. For those of you who can comfortably afford a share, please consider contributing to our Good Food Fund. This fund will only be used for providing reduced price shares to low income families in our community. A just food system is a strong food system, and at its core, Community Supported Agriculture is about strengthening our community and our food system. Help us strengthen the Lehigh Valley's Food Security with a contribution this season.
Pick-up Times, Days, and Locations: Pick-up times, days, and locations for 2018 are TBD. Thanks!
If you are unable to pick-up your share, we invite you to have someone else pick it up for you. This is a great way to teach friends, family, and neighbors about CSA! If you are unable to pick up your share, or have someone do it for you, it will be donated to a local food bank.
Seeking Financial Assistance the Good Food Fund: If our sliding scale minimum of $700 is out of your budget, please consider seeking financial assistance from the Good Food Fund to enable you to join our CSA.
Who is eligible for Good Food Funding and how do I apply? All individuals or families interested in purchasing a CSA share who express a need for economic assistance are eligible for financial support from the Good Food Fund. To seek financial assistance, please contact your farmers Lisa and Anton at 215-804-7352 or firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can verify that we have the funds to meet your financial needs, and set up a payment plan which meets your economic situation.
